Releasing one’s debut album is a milestone for any artist, and from there on Beastie Respond spent the following years redeveloping his sound again. 2016 brought the release of the EP ‘Back to the Future’ on RDG’s Circle Vision imprint. The EP took Pedersen’s taste for high intensity melodic synth music into a more modern realm. With a persistent reluctance to stay in the same place for too long as well as a compulsive disengagement with the genres that tread water, Beastie Respond started working on his sophomore album in late 2015, and is now ready to present it publicly. The album ‘Information City’ will be released on the young Berlinbased label Foul-Up. With the album, Pedersen reflects on an increasingly digitized society and what it is doing to us as citizens and humans, for better and for worse.
