Maozon

Born in Japan and raised amidst gaming culture, Maozon was deeply influenced by a rhythm game featuring club music, which led him to embark on his own musical journey. Heavily inspired by trance music in his early days, he began producing music, gradually expanding his genre repertoire. Currently based in Tokyo, he focuses primarily on drum and bass, leveraging his diverse musical background and gaming roots to create a unique and versatile sound design that has garnered high acclaim. As a producer, he has provided tracks for numerous J-Pop artists and composed soundtracks for video games, while releasing three albums under the name Maozon. In September 2025, his track "Escape" was featured on "Land of the Rising Bass EP," a compilation album focusing on Japanese artists released by the historic UK drum and bass label Viper Recordings. As a DJ based in Tokyo, he has performed worldwide, including in the United States, Canada, China, and South Korea.
