About

Billy Daniel Bunter returns to Phonox for a six-hour, open-to-close set, charting the sounds that shaped London rave culture. Six hours, six chapters, from the birth of acid house to the emergence of original hardcore and jungle. Starting in 1987-88 with the acid house records that sparked a movement, we move into the Summer of Love classics of 1989, before diving into the bleeps, bass and breaks of 1990. From there, each hour traces the evolution of the sound: the defining records of 1991, the explosion of 1992 rave, and finally, the raw energy of 1993 original hardcore and jungle.
